This excellant and informative article for
disabled shoppers (it was actually written
with blind people in mind, but applies equally
well to people with other disabilities) has
been prepared by the Royal National Institiute
for the Blind in association with Tesco's. |
| Waitrose |
A survey by the Food Commission in October 2003 found that Waitrose is the
ONLY supermarket that does not stuff any
of it's checkouts with displays of sweets,
snacks and soft drinks. Their tills are 100%
free of that practice. So if you have children
who pester you for sweets while you're waiting
at the checkout, or you're too easily tempted
yourself, you know where to shop! Well done,
Waitrose! |
