What type of supermarket offers and discounts do you show?

We include offers and discounts that are for a specified period and that are generally available in stores throughout an entire chain of supermarkets across the UK.

We do not include offers and discounts which are restricted to a small region, manager's specials in a single branch, end of lines and clearances, bin ends, clearance of expiring items, and other offers which are of a local or casual nature. We do not usually include "special purchases", unless we feel they are a particularly good buy. If we do include any there will, of course, be no saving shown for them since by their nature there will not have been a previous price.

At present we cover the everyday food and household products normally found in grocery supermarkets as standard. We plan to add wines and beers soon, and you will then be able to select whether you want wine/beer offers to be included in your newsletters or not.

To avoid overloading you with masses of data, we do not include offers saving less than 50p, unless in our opinion it is for a product which most people would be willing to buy several of at a time to achieve a bigger saving.

What will I receive?

Do you provide a printable version of the list of offers?

Yes, we provide a "printer friendly" version of your newsletter, with no colour and no graphics, so you can print it and take it to the shop with you. Just click on the link above the list of offers.

How do I subscribe to your newsletter?

(Information provided in accordance with the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000)
  1. Click on the "Join Us" option of the main menu.
  2. This takes you to a page where you type in the email address we should send it to, and also choose which supermarkets you want to know about. You also choose an Id and Password for yourself.
  3. Click on the Submit button to send the details to us.
  4. At the same time send us your payment (currently just £12 for 12 months subscription). Just write the cheque and enter your chosen Member Id and email address clearly on the reverse, so we know who it's from (very important!)
  5. Cheques should be made payable to Goldwater Systems Ltd and sent to:- 39 Wolsingham Way, Thatcham, Berkshire, RG19 3YW. Vat not applicable. See below for our 30 day guarantee.
  6. We send you your first newsletter immediately on receipt of the payment (we don't wait for it to go through the bank) so you can start saving immediately.
Should you fail to receive your first newsletter within a reasonable time (2 to 3 days) email us from the Contact Us page to query it, giving your Member Id.

Why can't I find some of your listed offers in my local supermarket?

This can be for one of several reasons:-
  • Some supermarket chains do not have all their offers in all their stores, particularly the smaller branches. So local "convenience stores" and smaller town centre branches may not have all the offers of their larger supermarket branches.
  • A branch may not have a particular counter - for instance, some branches may not have a delicatessen counter, or a fish counter.
  • In some stores the freeze boxes or other specialist units may be too limited in size to hold everything.

When do you email offers to members?

We send your first newsletter as soon as we receive your payment. This newsletter will show the current offers for all of your selected stores.

After that, we email you as and when offers are announced. Supermarket chains hold their offers for different periods. Some change monthly, some every two weeks, a few even change them weekly. We notify you of a particular chain's new offers when they take effect. This means most emails will include the offers for a single supermarket chain.

Some supermarkets hold offers for 2 or more weeks, but change their offers weekly, carrying over some of the old offers to the next week at the same time as adding new ones. For these supermarkets, we include ALL the offers still current in your newsletter, so you have a single list of what's available at any given time.

Do you send other emails besides the newsletter of offers?

Mostly we only send the newsletters containing the latest offers for a supermarket. We may also occasionally notify you when we hear of other offers which are likely to be relevant to the majority of our customers, and fall within the range of product we cover.

Occasionally we may also have some announcement concerning our own service (such as the addition of a new supermarket chain to our range, or a useful enhancement to our service).

We will not bombard you with loads of irrelevant emails, marketing spam, nor will we forward emails from the supermarkets themselves (though we might include details of special deals in our newsletters if we feel they are relevant to our customers and within the range of product we cover).

What guarantee do you give new subscribers?

We give all members a full, no questions asked, Money Back Guarantee - if you are not completely satisfied within 30 days of our receiving your payment we will refund your payment in full. We are sure most members will know by then that they can save money using our service; however, if you are still undecided at that stage just email us from the Contact Us page and we will extend the guarantee a further 30 days.
